Green Bottle Self‑Selection Survey
At Seeds of Love Community Doulas, we believe in the adage “It takes a village.” Everyone receives the same standard of care, and depending on your current resources, you may be able to help another family in need by choosing the standard fee. This tool is designed to help you select the rate that best reflects your family’s present access to resources.
1. Access to Financial Resources
A) Do you generally have a reliable income that meets your basic needs (housing, food, utilities, transportation)?
B) Do you have savings, generational support, or financial stability that allows you to absorb unexpected expenses?
C) Do you have access to credit, loans, or other financial safety nets?
2. Care Responsibilities
A) Are you financially responsible for children, elders, disabled family members, or others in your care?
B) Do these responsibilities significantly limit your financial flexibility?
3. Employment & Stability
A) Is your employment stable, predictable, and adequately compensated?
B) Do you experience job insecurity, underemployment, or inconsistent income?
4. Systemic Barriers
A) Do you experience barriers related to race, immigration status, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or other forms of marginalization that impact your access to resources or opportunities?
5. Medical & Life Circumstances
A) Are you currently navigating medical bills, chronic illness, disability‑related expenses, or other major financial stressors?
B) Are you in a season of relative stability, or a season of strain?
6. Community Support
A) Do you have family or community members who can offer financial or practical support when needed?
B) Are you largely navigating things on your own?
How to Use Your Responses
-
If you answered yes to many questions indicating strong stability, reliable access to resources, and consistent community support, your bottle may be full. You could be best aligned with the Be a Villager (full price) rate.
-
If your answers reflect a balance of stability and challenges (some reliable access alongside some strain or barriers) your bottle may be half full. You could be aligned with the Accessible Rate.
-
If you answered yes to many questions about significant barriers, financial strain, or limited access to resources and support, you may have a nearly empty bottle. You could be aligned with the Supported Rate.
Every family receives the same quality and quantity of care, no matter which bottle they choose.
