Services We Offer...

Our services are designed to support families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and loss with care that is rooted in dignity, privacy, and trust.  Our doulas offer steady, compassionate presence during some of life’s most tender transitions.

Birth Doula Support

Our doulas walk with families through pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period. We offer emotional grounding, physical comfort measures, evidence-informed guidance, and a calm, continuous presence so no one has to navigate these seasons alone.

All of our doulas are also trained Community Breastfeeding Counselors, offering skilled, culturally rooted lactation support from the very first moments of feeding through the early weeks at home.

Postpartum Support

Gentle, in-home care that centers rest, nourishment, and recovery. We help families settle into new rhythms, support infant feeding, and create space for healing and bonding.

Accessible, culturally rooted education that prepares families for labor, birth, and the postpartum period. We focus on informed decision-making, body literacy, and practical tools that build confidence.

Community Resource Coordination

Seeds of Love helps families navigate the often‑overwhelming landscape of local services with dignity, clarity, and steady support. Our community resource coordination connects families to trusted partners for mental health care, housing stability, food access, transportation, employment navigation, and other essential needs. We walk alongside each family to understand their goals, make warm handoffs, and ensure they are supported by providers who honor equity.

Community Doula Mentorship

Seeds of Love offers community‑rooted mentoring for doulas already enrolled in an independent certification program outside Seeds of Love. This mentorship weaves guidance, backup support, and opportunities to shadow births with the hands‑on experience needed to complete certification requirements. Under the steady presence of an experienced doula mentor, participants learn how to support families with dignity, accessibility, and equity at the center. Our focus is on helping new doulas grow into community‑based, equity‑rooted birth workers who understand the traditions, needs, and strengths of Appalachian families.

Accessible Care

Our care is rooted in dignity, privacy, and trust. Our bereavement services are always offered at no cost. For all other services, we use a self‑selecting Green Bottle sliding scale that invites families to choose the rate that best reflects their current access to resources. This model honors transparency, community care, and the understanding that families know their own circumstances best.
Our Supported Rate is reserved for families who face the greatest systemic barriers to accessing care, and is prioritized for those who are BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabled, or otherwise marginalized. We never turn anyone away based on ability to pay: however, our doulas’ schedules and availability may limit how many new clients we can accept at a given time.

At Seeds of Love Community Doulas, we believe in the adage “It takes a village.” Everyone receives the same standard of care, and depending on your current resources, you may be able to help another family in need by choosing the standard fee.
