What is a Community Doula?
A community doula is a doula who provides emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period, but with a mission that goes beyond individual care. Community doulas focus on equity, access, and culturally rooted support, especially for families who have been historically underserved or face barriers to traditional care.
